20-Hectare Solar Greenhouse Project in Russia

Project Background

Russia's agricultural production faces significant seasonal challenges, particularly during the long and cold winter period. Low outdoor temperatures, limited daylight hours and heavy snowfall can make open-field cultivation difficult for commercial growers.

To extend the growing season and establish a more stable production environment, a Russian agricultural customer planned a 20-hectare commercial Solar Greenhouse project. The project required more than a basic greenhouse structure. The greenhouse needed to make effective use of available solar radiation while providing adequate protection against cold weather and snow.

JYXD was invited to provide a customized Solar Greenhouse solution based on the project's location, cultivation plan and local environmental conditions.

Client Requirements

The customer wanted to develop a large-scale protected cultivation facility capable of supporting commercial agricultural production in the Russian climate.

The key requirements included:

Suitable structure for cold-weather agricultural production

Strong resistance to snow and winter weather

Maximized use of natural sunlight

Improved heat retention during cold periods

Reliable galvanized steel structure

Sufficient internal growing space

Customized dimensions for a 20-hectare project

Stable quality and reliable overseas delivery

For the customer, energy efficiency and winter performance were particularly important when selecting the greenhouse structure.

Design Solution

Taking the Russian climate into consideration, JYXD developed a 20 hectare Solar Greenhouse solution with an emphasis on natural solar utilization and thermal performance. The structure was planned to capture as much available sunlight as possible during the day while reducing unnecessary heat loss during colder periods.

Optimized Solar Utilization

The greenhouse orientation and roof configuration were considered to improve exposure to natural sunlight, helping crops make better use of available solar radiation.

Cold-Climate Structure

The structural design was developed with consideration for local snow and wind conditions. Structural specifications can be adjusted according to the project's actual environmental load requirements.

Thermal Management

The greenhouse configuration can incorporate suitable covering and insulation systems to help maintain a more stable internal temperature during cold weather.

Seasonal Ventilation

Although winter protection is important, ventilation becomes equally important during warmer periods. The greenhouse can be equipped with suitable ventilation systems to help regulate internal temperature and humidity.

Agricultural Integration

The overall layout allows supporting systems such as irrigation, fertigation, crop-support equipment and other agricultural facilities to be incorporated into the greenhouse project.

The final design can be customized according to local climate data, snow load, wind speed, crop type, greenhouse dimensions and heating requirements.

Production & Manufacturing

Following confirmation of the engineering design, JYXD began manufacturing the greenhouse components for the Russian project.

For a 20-hectare project, production requires strict coordination between structural processing, component quantities and delivery schedules.

The manufacturing process included:

Material Preparation → Steel Processing → Hot-Dip Galvanizing → Component Manufacturing → Quality Inspection → Packaging

The galvanized steel components were processed to improve corrosion resistance and provide long-term durability in an outdoor agricultural environment.

Before shipment, the components were inspected and organized according to the project requirements, helping reduce installation difficulties and improve on-site construction efficiency.

Container Loading & Delivery

After manufacturing and inspection were completed, the greenhouse components were prepared for shipment to Russia.

The large project volume required careful planning of packaging and container utilization. Structural components and accessories were grouped according to their specifications and installation requirements.

JYXD's logistics team arranged the loading process with the goal of:

Maximizing container space

Protecting components during transportation

Simplifying unloading and inventory

Maintaining clear component classification

Supporting efficient installation after arrival

The shipment included the main greenhouse structure, covering materials and related greenhouse accessories.

Through coordinated production and logistics management, JYXD was able to support the international delivery of this large-scale Russian greenhouse project.

Project Value

The Russian project demonstrates JYXD's ability to develop greenhouse solutions for different agricultural environments—from hot and sunny regions to cold-climate markets.

With professional greenhouse manufacturing, customized engineering and international export experience, JYXD provides solutions based on each project's climate, crop, land area and production objectives.

Whether you are planning a Solar Greenhouse, vegetable greenhouse or large commercial greenhouse project in Russia, our team can help develop a suitable greenhouse solution for your agricultural project.
