Project Location:Malaysia
Project Scale:130 Hectares
Crop:Cucumber
Greenhouse Type:Single-Span Film Greenhouse + Multi-Span Film Greenhouse
Supplier:JYXD Greenhouse
Malaysia's tropical climate provides favorable conditions for year-round agricultural production, but high temperatures, strong sunlight, frequent rainfall and high humidity can also create challenges for commercial vegetable growers.
For large-scale cucumber cultivation, uncontrolled outdoor conditions may affect crop growth, disease management and production stability. The customer therefore planned a 130-hectare commercial cucumber greenhouse project to establish a more controlled and reliable growing environment.
Due to the large project area and different cultivation zones, the customer required more than a standard greenhouse solution. The project needed a combination of greenhouse structures that could adapt to different areas of the farm while providing good ventilation, rain protection and efficient crop management.
JYXD was invited to develop a customized greenhouse solution combining single-span film greenhouses and multi-span film greenhouses, based on the customer's land conditions, cucumber cultivation requirements and local tropical climate.
The customer planned to establish a large-scale commercial cucumber production base and required greenhouse structures suitable for Malaysia's environmental conditions.
The key requirements included:
Suitable greenhouse structures for tropical cucumber cultivation
Strong protection against frequent rainfall
Efficient natural ventilation
Good resistance to high temperature and humidity
Reliable galvanized steel structure
High-quality agricultural film covering
Flexible greenhouse layouts for different cultivation zones
Sufficient internal growing space for cucumber production
Integration with irrigation and fertigation systems
Customized greenhouse dimensions for a 130-hectare project
Stable product quality and reliable international delivery
For the customer, ventilation, rain protection and large-scale farm management were particularly important when selecting the greenhouse solution.

Considering Malaysia's tropical growing environment and the scale of the project, JYXD developed a customized greenhouse plan combining single-span and multi-span film greenhouse structures.
The overall design focused on improving ventilation, protecting crops from heavy rainfall and creating an efficient layout for large-scale cucumber production.
Single-Span Greenhouses
Single-span film greenhouses were planned for cultivation areas where independent management and flexible farm layout were required.
The separate greenhouse units allow different cultivation areas to be managed independently, making them suitable for:
Different planting schedules
Separate crop management
Flexible land utilization
Independent ventilation
Future expansion
This structure also provides greater flexibility when the farmland contains different cultivation zones or irregular land areas.
Multi-Span Film Greenhouses
For larger continuous cultivation areas, multi-span film greenhouses were selected to improve land utilization and support centralized commercial production.
The connected structure creates a larger continuous cultivation area and allows supporting agricultural systems to be integrated more efficiently.
Tropical Climate Adaptation
High temperature and humidity were important considerations during the greenhouse planning process.
Instead of relying only on mechanical climate control, the design emphasizes natural ventilation and airflow. Side and roof ventilation systems can help remove hot air and excess humidity from the growing environment.
The film covering provides protection from rainfall while maintaining sufficient natural light for cucumber growth.
Frequent tropical rainfall can interfere with open-field cucumber cultivation.
The film greenhouse structure provides a protected growing environment, helping reduce direct exposure to heavy rainfall and allowing growers to manage irrigation and crop conditions more effectively.
The greenhouse layout can also incorporate suitable drainage planning to help manage rainwater around the cultivation areas.

After the engineering design and greenhouse specifications were confirmed, JYXD began manufacturing the greenhouse components for the Malaysian project.
For a 130-hectare commercial greenhouse project, production requires careful coordination of structural components, greenhouse accessories, covering materials and delivery schedules.
The manufacturing process included:
Material Preparation → Steel Processing → Hot-Dip Galvanizing → Component Manufacturing → Quality Inspection → Packaging
The main steel components were hot-dip galvanized to improve corrosion resistance and provide long-term durability in an outdoor agricultural environment.
Because the project involved both single-span and multi-span greenhouse structures, components were manufactured and organized according to their respective specifications to help ensure smooth installation at the project site.
Before shipment, the greenhouse components were inspected and classified according to the project requirements.
After production and quality inspection were completed, the greenhouse components were prepared for international shipment from China to Malaysia.
For a large-scale project covering 130 hectares, efficient packaging and container loading are essential for reducing transportation space and simplifying the installation process.
JYXD arranged the loading process with the goal of:
Maximizing container space
Protecting greenhouse components during transportation
Simplifying unloading and inventory
Separating different types of components
Supporting efficient on-site installation
The shipment included the main greenhouse structures, agricultural film, ventilation components and related greenhouse accessories.
The components were carefully packed and organized before loading, helping the customer efficiently identify and distribute materials after they arrived at the project site.
Through coordinated production, quality control, packaging and logistics management, JYXD provided a complete greenhouse supply solution for this large-scale Malaysian cucumber project.

The 130-hectare Malaysian cucumber greenhouse project demonstrates JYXD's ability to develop customized greenhouse solutions for large-scale commercial agriculture in tropical climates.
By combining single-span film greenhouses and multi-span film greenhouses, the project provides greater flexibility for land utilization, crop management and future agricultural development.
